Beckenham is within the London Borough of Bromley in Greater London, England.
The town is north of Elmers End and Eden Park, east of Penge, south of Lower Sydenham and Bellingham, and west of Bromley and Shortlands. It lies 8.4 miles (13.5 km) southeast of Charing Cross.

Michael Tickner is an experienced and active local Councillor who has represented Beckenham residents for a number of years.
He lives off Court Downs Road and commutes to London from Beckenham Junction every day.
He has wide experience of Planning and Traffic Management issues, and has successfully led the bid to secure £4.3m funding for the major public realm improvement of Beckenham High Street.
He is an active campaigner for road safety improvements, including at Westgate Bridge, Southend Road, and the junction of Bromley Road and Downsbridge Rd-Scotts Lane.
