Existing Ward Councillor Michael Tickner is delighted to be standing again as a Conservative candidate, supported by newcomers Stephen and Patrick. All three candidates are residents in the ward and are excited to offer residents a clear plan to make Beckenham Town & Copers Cope an even better place to live.
Stephen Ayshford is a local campaigner and resident. He recently bought his first home off Park Road. Stephen commutes to London from New Beckenham and works in Westminster. He is motivated to help his local community, wants to engage with as many residents as possible, and champions the ward. Specifically, he wants to ensure that Beckenham, with the largest nighttime economy within the Borough, remains safe and is reassured by the Borough having one of the lowest crime rates in London.
Patrick Olliffe lives on Beckenham High Street and brings a wealth of experience working in local and national government and campaigning for the Conservatives across the county. He is eager to leverage this expertise in serving his ward and is committed to driving positive change for residents. This includes ensuring that high levels of education are available to all, and he is thrilled to see that a large proportion of pupils are accepted into their first choice of senior school within the Borough.
Michael Tickner is an experienced and active Beckenham Councillor who has successfully represented the Ward through years of change. He lives off Court Downs Road and commutes to London from Beckenham Junction. He has wide experience in Planning and Traffic Management issues, and has successfully led the bid to secure £4.3m funding for the major improvement of Beckenham High Street.
With next year’s London-wide Local Elections on Thursday 7th May 2026, Stephen, Patrick, and Michael will demonstrate how three Conservative Councillors would best benefit Beckenham Town and ensure the Council remains sensibly governed and well run. Between now and then, they look forward to engaging with the local community, advocating for residents’ priorities, and improving our quality of life here in Beckenham.
